Hot-melt adhesive tapes: durable, efficient and reliable solutions for every shipment

Hot Melt adhesive tapes are essential for safe, efficient and cost-effective packaging across a wide range of industries. These tapes are coated with a special type of adhesive, called hot melt adhesive , that is designed to bond quickly and hold strongly in a variety of conditions. Unlike traditional adhesives, hot melt adhesives are formulated from thermoplastic polymers that become tacky and active when heated, then harden when cooled, creating a strong, permanent bond on materials such as cardboard, plastic and metal.

Main advantages of hot melt adhesive tapes:

  • Exceptional holding power:

Hot melt adhesive tapes provide reliable bonding strength, ensuring packages remain tight during shipping and handling.

  • Quick Binding:

Hot melt adhesives activate quickly, reducing the time it takes to secure your package and enabling fast workflows.

  • Versatility and compatibility:

Designed to adhere to a variety of surfaces, these tapes are ideal for wrapping boxes, cartons and parcels of various sizes and materials.

  • Temperature and humidity resistance:

These tapes perform in a variety of environmental conditions, from humid warehouses to dry, cold warehouses, ensuring packages remain sealed and protected.

Ideal for both light and heavy packaging, our hot melt tapes are the best choice for companies looking to increase the efficiency and reliability of their shipping and packaging processes. Choose hot melt tapes to experience the combination of strength, flexibility and durability your packaging requires.

Where does the name Hot Melt come from?

Hot melt adhesive tapes are called “hot melts” because of the unique properties of the adhesive itself. Unlike traditional adhesives that often rely on water or solvents to bond, hot melt adhesives are made from thermoplastic polymers that must be heated to become active. When heated, the adhesive “melts,” becoming sticky and soft, allowing it to flow and bond effectively to surfaces. Once cooled and solidified, the adhesive forms a strong, permanent bond.

  • Application process

Hot melt adhesives are typically applied while heated, hence the name "hot." The adhesive is activated by heat and then applied to surfaces while still molten.

  • Binding properties

Once applied, the adhesive "melts" into the surface, filling small gaps and creating a strong bond as it cools and hardens.

  • No need for solvents or water

Unlike other adhesives that dry when water or solvent evaporates, hot melt adhesives achieve bond strength solely through cooling. This makes them fast-acting and efficient in applications such as packaging.

This heat application method makes hot melt adhesive tapes ideal for applications requiring fast, secure adhesion, such as sealing boxes, cartons or pallets in shipping and packaging operations.
