Rubber glue, Solvent or Vibac?

It is the same type of glue hidden under different names. Solvent simply means using a solvent other than water to produce the glue.

Natural rubber adhesives are commonly used to bond non-metallic materials such as leather, fabrics, paper, and other rubber products. Natural rubber adhesive formulations are heavily modified with synthetic resins and additives to achieve specific desired properties.

Effectiveness of rubber tapes

Rubber glue remains liquid at low temperatures, while other adhesives become solid and brittle. Unlike acrylic tapes, rubber glue bonds almost immediately with maximum adhesion, and the intertwining of polymer chains ensures high internal durability of the adhesive mass itself.

The natural rubber adhesive in the adhesive tape has limited adhesion and cohesion at temperatures above 70° C. For this reason, it requires the addition of stabilizers to resist aging and environmental effects in the event of exposure to UV radiation and ozone. It is not very resistant to chemicals and solvents.
